Aintree Training Limited is a professional, experience led independent Training provider based in the North West of England.

The Care Certificate Employee Assessments

At Aintree Training we know that your managerial time is incredibly precious and we want to help support you with evidence that helps to show you are meeting your training requirements under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities Regulations 2014) (England) and The Regulated Services (Service Providers and Responsible Individuals) Regulations 2017 (Wales).    Key Regulations under these acts for social care services include:

England:  Regulation 18 ‘Staffing’ (1 & 2a) & Regulation 19 ‘Fit and Proper Persons’ (1b).

Wales:  Regulation 34 (1) ‘Staffing – overarching requirements.

These Acts & Regulations for providers delivering services in England or Wales require regulated providers to ensure staff are suitably qualified, competent, skilled and experienced, for the work to be performed by them.

In order to help provide employers with supporting evidence that your staff are competent and skilled, we have developed a robust employee assessment and reporting process into the Care Certificate*.

Our Resources are mapped to England’s Care Certificate Induction Programme.  We are currently working on developing additional assessment resources which will be mapped to the All Wales Induction Framework, so check our blog soon for updates.

The Care Certificate requires that all new staff members who are inducted into Health and Social Care in England receive assessments of both Knowledge and Practical workplace Competency according to a written cere certificate framework and standard document.

Let Aintree Training support the Induction of your employees by assessing Knowledge, Competency or both.

To support your employees understanding and knowledge required for the Care Certificate Programme look into our Care Certificate Tutor Delivered training or individual e-learning courses in each standard.

If you wish to support your organisational managers to undertake the required assessments get in touch and ask us about our ‘Care Certificate and Managers Assessments’ Training Course.

  3. Is the evidence Current – has it been produced sufficiently recently for the assessor to be confident that the learner still has that same level of skills or knowledge?
  4. Is the evidence Reliable – does it appear to be genuinely representative of the learner’s knowledge and skills?
  5. Is the evidence Sufficient – In our opinion, has the evidence demonstrated that the individual has met the requirements of the standards?
